For 50 years, Smith’s Waco Market has been more than a place to shop—it has been part of our customers’ lives, family traditions, and community memories. We’re grateful for everyone who has supported us along the way, and we invite you to celebrate this special milestone with us at our customer appreciation event on Sunday, August 30, with food, entertainment, local partners, and more. Stark Parks 1pm - 5pm
Stark Parks is an award-winning park district offering 15 parks, 4 lakes, and many trails to explore in addition to guided activities and on your own experiences. Places for history, nature, wildlife, and recreation in all seasons.
Paddle away on a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard. Cast a fishing line from the shoreline or boat. Experience live wildlife at the Wildlife Conservation Center at Sippo Lake Park where animal ambassadors permanently reside. Enjoy peaceful settings and destinations with areas to celebrate, make memories, enjoy entertainment and activities at parks across Stark County.

Pawsitive Hope
Kitten adoption event!
Pawsitive Hope Inc. is an animal rescue that has many parts; we take in animals with medical issues from shelters, take in owner surrendered medical animals, and provide medical / surgical care to animals that are part of other rescues.
Pawsitive Hope Inc. also assists in educating the public on the benefits of spaying / neutering, we financially assist low income families to have their pets altered and we have created a program called Fix A Family that is available to families with pregnant dogs/cats, or dog/cats with litters. We provide medical care for the moms and puppies until the puppies are weaned. We then vaccinate, deworm, apply flea prevention, microchip and spay/neuter puppies, subsequently placing the animals up for adoption. We will also spay/neuter the parent dogs free of charge and return them to their owners. In addition we alter cats that are part of Trap, Neuter, Release programs.
We volunteer our services as veterinarians, veterinary technicians and assistants to spay/ neuter clinics for low income families. Find out more: https://pawsitivehope.org/

Mike Lang and the founder of Lang's Classics located in Mantua, Ohio unknowingly started his pickle journey back in 2018 during his sophomore year of high school. Starting off with just a garlic dill flavor, he fine tuned his recipe until his family & friends loved them. Flash forward to 2020, he found himself bored due to the pandemic locked in his home. He again got back into pickle making, sticking to my garlic dill. His dad suggested they sell the pickles in local stores, he liked the idea and approached a store yet realized I need FDA approvals, licenses and so much more. Took him about 1.5 years to be able to legally produce pickles, they started production in February 2022!
For over six decades, Gold’N Krisp has been family-owned and operated right here in Massillon, Ohio. Our kettle-cooked chips are made in small batches using our original recipe and cooked the traditional way in premium lard for unmatched crunch and flavor. Crafted with pride and simple ingredients, they’ve become a local favorite and a staple at gatherings big and small.
